What is ENERGY STAR?
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that helps people save money and protect the environment through energy-efficient products and practices. Over the past decade, ENERGY STAR has been a driving force behind the more widespread use of such technological innovations as efficient fluorescent lighting, power management systems for office equipment and low standby energy use.

With ENERGY STAR products, your family can save up to 33 percent on your energy bill and reduce greenhouse gas emissions – without sacrificing features, style or comfort. The ENERGY STAR rating means products meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy.
