Lightnin® mixers have long been fixtures throughout Africa’s vast network of mining operations. In recent years, SPX has supplied more than 60 Lightnin mixers across the continent.
At mine operations at Bibiani, Oubuasi and Iduapriem in Ghana, the company supplied mixers that are designed to drive long, overhung shafts. The equipment is able to withstand the severe bending and high torque loads involved in the mining process.
Plenty® Mixers, another SPX company, is also known for supplying its brand of mixers to oil and gas suppliers throughout Africa and the Middle East.
Serving applications such as blending, desalting, chemical injection and sampling, equipment from Plenty Mixers is used by customers such as Bahrain Petrochemical Company in Bahrain; NASR Petroleum Company, Alexandria Petroleum Company and Sumed in Egypt and Jawaby Oil in Libya.
