According to Sandro Sereno, the technical manager at the Vanguarda television network in São Paulo, Brazil, the network has a “mission to inform and entertain the people in the coverage area as well as contribute to the cultural and economic progress of our region.”
The installation of a broadband antenna from SPX’s Dielectric® Communications is helping the network to expand its broadcasts throughout the state, furthering its mission. (See the press release announcing the project.)
Programming for 900,000 Plus
The antenna, along with an NEC transmitter, is being used to deliver programming on one analog and one digital channel to more than 900,000 people in the state of São Paulo. The Dielectric TUA-04SP-2/8U-1-T was the first supply of broadband antennas specifically intended for the operation of digital broadcasting in Brazil.
Teaming with Trans-Tel
Demonstrating its commitment to the Brazilian market, Dielectric Communications has also expanded its existing relationship with Trans-Tel Communications, Inc., a manufacturer of RF products and an expert in the design, installation and maintenance of RF systems.
As part of the companies’ new agreement, Dielectric will utilize Trans-Tel’s expanding production capabilities to manufacture its antenna and RF designs in the Brazilian market, thereby improving service levels for regional customers who seek high-demand products.
