Companies outside the military rely on SPX Precision Components’ expertise as well. Columbia Helicopters counts on SPX Precision Components to supply flight-safety rotor head components for its fleet of heavy-lift Chinook helicopters.
Columbia primarily serves the logging, petroleum, construction and firefighting industries.
SPX Precision Equipment manufactures structural components for Airbus and Boeing commercial aircraft. The mounts for attaching the aircraft engines on the A380 aircraft, the world’s largest commercial aircraft, are produced at SPX Precision Components’ Long Island, New York facility.
The company also has operations in Connecticut. Combined, the Connecticut and New York operations comprise 250,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Both locations are AS 9100 and ISO 9001:2000 registered.
