Intercepting communications among the vast amount of wireless transmissions is a challenging task — and an extremely critical one for many governments.
SPX’s TCI® International, Inc. is working with a local system integrator in Europe to make the task more manageable for a European nation’s government. TCI is supplying three direction finding (DF) systems that will be integrated with the Agilent Technologies E3238S Signal Search and Collection System. (Read the press release.)
The TCI DF First™ signal location equipment offers advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology, dual 20/2 MHz bandwidth and real-time digital signal storage. The integrated system will provide the European nation’s government users with a complete signal intercept, signal identification, signal collection and signal location solution in a flexible client/server architecture.
TCI will integrate the two systems at the TCI facility. During Factory Acceptance Testing, TCI will demonstrate the advanced features of the Wideband DF interface between the two systems. The local system integrator will install the equipment on government-supplied vehicles in the European customer nation.
