Very large flow applications in the oil and gas industry often require a series of heat exchangers operating in parallel in order to deliver the required cooling power. APV®, an SPX company, developed the Sirius™ plate heat exchanger, which combines high thermal efficiency and flexible design options to deliver a highly efficient, cost-effective solution with reduced capital investment and service costs.
Customer-centric Features
Flexible design options include four plate sizes, one plate design and three plate patterns and various plate widths, to meet most customer requirements for large flow and high cooling and heating capacity.
High cooling capacity and a porthole size Ø>500 mm enables high flow rates with minimum pressure loss to yield high cooling capacity. High cooling capacity in turn enables customers to reduce capital investment, installation and service and maintenance costs by employing fewer plate heat exchangers for a given cooling application.
Service tools, including a compression tool and a specially designed hoist kit, enable easy and safe dismantling of the APV Sirius heat exchanger.
