Patrick J. O'Leary is the former executive vice president and chief financial officer of SPX Corporation. He joined SPX as CFO in 1996 and later added the title of executive vice president in 2004. During his more than 15 years with the company, he was a principal architect of the company’s transformation until his retirement in 2012. Prior to joining SPX, Patrick served as CFO and a director of Carlisle Plastics, Inc. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he held various roles of increasing responsibility, including as a partner in the firm’s Boston office. He is currently a director of PulteGroup, Inc. and Halyard Health, Inc. Patrick earned his B.S. in Accountancy and Law from the University of Southampton, England. He joined the SPX Board in 2015.

Rick D. Puckett

Rick D. Puckett is executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer of Snyder's-Lance, Inc., Charlotte, NC. He leads all finance, information technology, human resources, legal, investor relations, risk management, corporate relations and treasury functions. He leads the support for the company’s achievement of its key strategic initiatives in supply chain and sales efficiency improvements. Prior to Snyder’s-Lance, Rick was executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of United Natural Foods, Inc. Rick is a certified public accountant and received his degree in Accounting and his MBA from the University of Kentucky. Rick chairs the board of the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts and is a director for Whitehorse Finance, Inc., a public company where he is chairman of the audit committee. He is a member of the board of advisors for Wake Forest University Charlotte and the board of advisors of the CFO Alliance in Charlotte, NC. Rick joined the SPX Board in 2015.

David A. Roberts

David A. Roberts has served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Carlisle Companies, Inc., a diversified manufacturing company, since 2007. He previously served as chairman, president and CEO of Graco, Inc., a fluid handling system provider. Prior to that, Dave served as a group vice president of The Marmon Group, LLC. He began his career serving in a variety of manufacturing, engineering, and general management positions with The Budd Company, Pitney Bowes and FMC Corporation. David currently serves as a director for Franklin Electric Co., Inc., a water and fueling system manufacturer. He earned his B.S. from Purdue University and his MBA from Indiana University. David joined the SPX Board in 2015.

Ruth G. Shaw

Ruth G. Shaw retired from Duke Energy Corporation in 2007, but remained an executive advisor to the company until 2009. At Duke, she served as group executive for public policy and president of Duke Nuclear, as well as president and CEO of Duke Power Company. Prior to that, she held numerous roles, including executive vice president and chief administrative officer. She also was president of The Duke Energy Foundation. Ruth is currently a director of The Dow Chemical Company and DTE Energy, and serves on the board of trustees of the UNC Charlotte Foundation. She is also the founding board chair and a board member of The Carolinas Thread Trail, and a former member of the executive committees of the Nuclear Energy Institute and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations. She earned her B.A. and M.A. from East Carolina University and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Ruth joined the SPX Board in 2015.

Tana L. Utley

Tana L. Utley is currently vice president of the Large Power Systems Division at Caterpillar Inc., a construction and mining equipment, engines, turbines and locomotives manufacturer. Since joining the company in 1986, she has held a number of roles, including a variety of engineering and general management positions. Tana’s technical career has focused primarily on solving the challenges of reducing diesel engine emissions in accordance with the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and equivalent global regulations. She has also played key engineering and leadership roles in the development of near-zero-emissions engines, and held general management positions in Caterpillar's components and engines businesses. Tana earned her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University and her M.S. in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tana joined the SPX Board in 2015.

Christopher J. Kearney

Christopher J. Kearney is chairman, president and chief executive officer of SPX FLOW, Inc. He previously served as president and CEO of SPX Corporation beginning in 2004, and added the role of chairman in 2007. Prior to that, Chris held the role of vice president, secretary and general counsel at SPX Corporation. Prior to joining SPX, Chris served as senior vice president and general counsel of Grimes Aerospace Company, as senior attorney at Borg-Warner Chemicals, and as senior counsel at General Electric’s global materials business. Chris is a member of the Advisory Council for University Libraries, University of Notre Dame and serves as Chairman of the board of the Foundation for the Carolinas. He is also a director of Nucor Corporation and a former director of Polypore International, Inc. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from DePaul University Law School. He joined the SPX Board in 2004.

Gene Lowe

Gene Lowe was named president and chief executive officer of the new SPX Corporation in 2015. In this leadership role, he is responsible for driving the company’s overall growth and profitability as a diversified, global supplier of infrastructure equipment focused on three key segments: HVAC, detection and measurement, and power. Gene joined SPX in 2008, holding multiple strategic leadership positions, most recently as the president of SPX’s Thermal Equipment and Services segment. His tenure at SPX also includes roles leading the Evaporative Cooling business and the marketing, strategy, and business development functions within the Thermal segment where he focused on driving differentiation through technology innovation and operational initiatives. Prior to joining SPX, Gene held positions with Milliken, Bain & Company and Lazard Technology Partners. Gene earned his MBA with distinguished honors from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and his B.S. in management science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
