SPX is committed to a strong sustainability culture and a journey of continuous improvement on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.

ENVIRONMENTAL

We believe our company is well positioned to thrive in a world where long-term targets on carbon emissions are realized. Many of our businesses, products and initiatives help support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From our cooling towers, which can help reduce energy usage in buildings, to our inspection equipment that helps remediate leakage of underground water and waste water pipes, SPX offers a wide array of highly efficient and innovative products for the maintenance of critical infrastructure.

Every year we publish a Sustainability Report, which includes data on our energy and water usage, greenhouse gas emissions and employee health and safety, as well as additional data and information to help our stakeholders evaluate our ESG positioning, risk and opportunities. SPX is committed to mapping and prioritizing key risk factors and opportunities for use in developing sustainability goals, and assessing ESG risks has become a key part of our annual Enterprise Risk Management process.

As a part of our commitment to Employee Development & Engagement, our talent management framework, called RiSE, helps SPX Reach, Identify, Strengthen, and Engage our employees. RiSE enhances our culture, leadership, talent attraction and engagement strategies, and reaches across the full spectrum of talent management programs, from recruiting strategies to community engagement activities.

At SPX, we also believe that valuing different backgrounds, experiences and opinions is the right thing to do and critical to our long-term success. SPX’s Diversity & Inclusion initiative focuses on building a more inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. This effort is led by our Diversity & Inclusion Council and Ambassador Network, which are comprised of both senior executives and employees from across the enterprise. These values are the basis for our Corporate Governance Guidelines, adopted by our Board of Directors, and our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, which serves as a guide to our employees when making decisions or taking actions with customers and colleagues.
