Mr. Kumar brings an extensive background in strategy development, global operations, M&A, channel management, and strategic pricing. He joins SPX Corporation from Gardner Denver Holdings, Inc., a global industrial manufacturer, where he led the fluid transfer equipment and compressor systems business. Prior to Gardner Denver, he spent 13 years at McKinsey & Company’s Global Energy Equipment and Services practice, where his focus was growth through strategy deployment, business development and commercial performance transformation. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology.
“We are pleased to welcome Ankush Kumar to lead our global HVAC Cooling team,” said Gene Lowe, SPX’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “With his strong track record of successfully growing global industrial equipment and aftermarket service businesses, he will be instrumental in further developing our strategy and positioning within the global HVAC Cooling market. In addition, enhancing our dedicated focus on Process Cooling under the leadership of Randy Powell will support the success of our components and services growth initiative in that business.”
