Patrick J. O’Leary is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SPX Corporation. He joined SPX as Chief Financial Officer in 1996 and later added the title of Executive Vice President in 2004. During his more than 15 years with the company, he was a principal architect of the company’s transformation until his retirement in 2012. Prior to joining SPX, Patrick served as Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Carlisle Plastics, Inc. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he held various roles of increasing responsibility, including as a partner in the firm’s Boston office. He is currently a Director of PulteGroup, Inc. and Halyard Health, Inc. Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree in accountancy and law from the University of Southampton, England. Patrick joined the SPX Board in 2015.

Eugene (Gene) J. Lowe, III was named President and Chief Executive Officer of SPX Corporation in 2015. In this leadership role, he is responsible for driving the company’s overall growth and profitability as a diversified, global supplier of infrastructure equipment focused on the key segments of HVAC and detection and measurement. Gene joined SPX in 2008, holding multiple strategic leadership positions, most recently as the President of SPX’s former Thermal Equipment and Services segment. His tenure at SPX also includes roles leading the Evaporative Cooling business and the marketing, strategy and business development functions within the former Thermal segment where he focused on driving differentiation through technology innovation and operational initiatives. Prior to joining SPX, Gene held positions with Milliken & Company, Bain & Company, and Lazard Technology Partners. Gene earned his MBA with distinguished honors from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and his B.S. in management science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Gene joined the SPX Board in 2015.

 

photo of Rick PuckettRick D. Puckett

Rick Puckett is the former Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Snyder’s-Lance, Inc. During his tenure, he led all finance, information technology, human resources, legal, investor relations, risk management, corporate relations, and treasury functions. His leadership and support were instrumental in the company’s achievement of its key strategic initiatives in supply chain and sales efficiency improvements until his retirement in 2016. Prior to Snyder’s-Lance, Rick was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of United Natural Foods, Inc.

Mr. Puckett currently serves as Chairman of the Compensation Committee for SPX.  He also serves on public company boards for Whitehorse Finance, Inc. and for Driven Brands, where he chairs the audit committee.  In addition, he serves on the board of Pet Retail Brands, a privately held company. In the past, Rick served on the boards of the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and the Wake Forest Graduate School in Charlotte. Mr. Puckett is a Certified Public Accountant and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his MBA from the University of Kentucky. Rick joined the SPX Board in 2015.

David A. Roberts has served as Chairman of the Board of Carlisle Companies, Inc., a diversified manufacturing company, since 2017. He previously served as Carlisle’s Executive Chairman of the Board, in 2016; Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, from 2014 to 2015; and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, from 2007 to 2014. Before joining Carlisle, Dave served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Graco, Inc. Prior to that, Dave served as a group Vice President of The Marmon Group, LLC. He began his career serving in a variety of manufacturing, engineering, and general management positions with The Budd Company, Pitney Bowes, and FMC Corporation. Dave is currently a Director for Franklin Electric Co., Inc. and Horizontal Global Corporation. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and his MBA from Indiana University. Dave joined the SPX Board in 2015.

Meenal Sethna, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, joined Littelfuse in May 2015 and is responsible for finance and accounting, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, digital and information technology and internal audit. Prior to joining Littelfuse, Ms. Sethna spent four years at Illinois Tool Works as Vice President and Corporate Controller. Previous to that, she worked at Motorola Inc., most recently as Vice President, Finance. She began her career at Baxter International, holding a variety of finance roles during her tenure. Ms. Sethna is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the University of Illinois-Urbana, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Meenal joined the SPX Board in 2019.

Ruth G. Shaw retired from Duke Energy Corporation in 2007, but remained an executive advisor to the company until 2009. At Duke, she served as group executive for public policy and President of Duke Nuclear, as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Duke Power Company. Prior to that, she held numerous roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. She also was President of The Duke Energy Foundation. Ruth is currently a Director of DowDuPont Inc. and DTE Energy. She served on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the Carolinas, and has been a Director and Chair of the Boards of the University of North Carolina Charlotte; the UNCC Charlotte Foundation; the United Way of Central Carolinas; the Arts & Science Counsel and The Carolinas Thread Trail. She is a former member of the executive committees of the Nuclear Energy Institute and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations. She earned her bachelor’s degree and M.A. from East Carolina University and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Ruth joined the SPX Board in 2015.

Robert B. Toth has more than 30 years of experience in leadership roles at global industrial and manufacturing companies, as well as in private equity, most recently as a Managing Director at CCMP Capital Advisors, LLC from 2016 until 2019. Prior to CCMP, Bob served as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Polypore International, Inc., a leading global high technology filtration company, where he optimized the business portfolio and positioned the company for accelerated growth, resulting in a substantial increase in enterprise value. Prior to Polypore, Bob served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of CP Kelco ApS, where he led the business through a comprehensive turnaround and successful sale. He also spent 19 years at Monsanto Company and its spin-off, Solutia Inc., where he held a variety of executive and managerial roles. Bob is currently a Director at Materion Corporation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Purdue University and MBA from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. Bob joined the SPX Board in 2017.

Tana L. Utley is currently Vice President of the Large Power Systems Division at Caterpillar Inc., a construction and mining equipment, engines, turbines, and locomotives manufacturer. Since joining the company in 1986, she has held a variety of engineering and general management positions. Tana’s technical career has focused primarily on the challenges of reducing diesel engine emissions in accordance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and equivalent global regulations. She has played key engineering and leadership roles in the development of near-zero-emissions engines, and held general management positions in Caterpillar’s components and engines businesses. Tana earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University and M.S. in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tana joined the SPX Board in 2015.

Angel Shelton Willis has served as Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary for Sealed Air Corporation, a global leader in essential packaging solutions, since 2019. She currently oversees all aspects of its global legal and compliance affairs, including commercial transactions, mergers & acquisitions, litigation, labor & employment, intellectual property, ethics and compliance, regulatory and corporate governance matters. Prior to joining Sealed Air in 2019, from 2005 to 2018, Ms. Willis served in a number of leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Ingersoll Rand Company, including Deputy General Counsel, Mergers and Acquisitions, Finance & Restructuring and General Counsel, Climate Solutions. Prior to Ingersoll Rand, Ms. Willis served as Corporate Counsel at Cummins Inc. She began her career as an Associate at Ice Miller, a full service law firm serving Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, and nonprofits. Ms. Willis received both her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics and her MBA from Clemson University, and her J.D. from the University of Illinois. She is licensed to practice law in the states of North Carolina and Indiana. Angel joined the SPX Board in 2021.
